Education Foundation Endowment Program
Improve and enrich lives in your community for years to come by including a gift to INK!’s Joseph S. Gordy Education Foundation Endowment in your estate plan.
The Joseph S. Gordy Education Foundation Legacy Program provides funding for the INK! programs you know and love, benefitting St. Johns County teachers and students.
Gift Allocation
Provide direction on how your donations are spent! A percentage of your gift can be allocated to specific programs or efforts, with the remainder benefitting the Foundation as a whole. The trustees will direct undesignated gift support where it is most needed.
How It Works*
You can include INK! in an estate plan through a will or codicil, or make INK! the beneficiary of a retirement plan or insurance policy. For either method, please remember to use our official legal name–The St. Johns Education Foundation– in your documents.
Language examples for your estate adviser to consider:
- For a general gift of a certain percentage or portion of your estate: “I give to The St Johns Education Foundation one-fourth of my estate.”
- For a gift of a specific asset: “I give 500 shares of XYZ stock to The St Johns Education Foundation.”
- For a contingent bequest, which takes effect only when certain conditions are met: “In the event my spouse does not survive me, I give to The St Johns Education Foundation XYZ.”
- For a residual bequest, which directs the disposition of all or a portion of whatever remains after all other required amounts are paid: “I give the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate to The St Johns Education Foundation.”

With the Tools 4 Schools community-based classroom supply initiative, INK! aims to reduce out-of-pocket expenses of SJC educators–ensuring their students have the necessary tools to be successful in the classroom. Purchase a ‘Support Education’ License Plate
For over 25 years, the Support Education specialty plate program has funded classroom innovation, enrichment programs, student scholarships, school supplies, and more. As a St. John’s County resident, your purchase will directly benefit INK!’s programs and initiatives.
