As the direct support organization for the school district, INK! empowers students and educators through innovative programs and resources. Central to our mission is INK!’s support of Sources of Strength in St. Johns County middle and high schools. Sources of Strength is a comprehensive wellness program designed to enhance mental health, promote positive coping strategies, and build resilience among students. By supporting this initiative, INK! plays a vital role in cultivating a culture of trust, connection, and character in local schools.
The Power of Character Education
The CHARACTER COUNTS! initiative emphasizes six pillars of character—trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. INK!’s work exemplifies these values, not only through its support of programs like Sources of Strength but also through its broader efforts to enrich the educational experience for every student in St. Johns County.

Resiliency Through the Community
- Expansion of Sources of Strength into 12 St. Johns County middle schools and funding Sources of Strength at all St. Johns County high schools for the 2024-2025 school year
- Launch of sjcresilient.com a resiliency resource and well-being hub for the St. Johns County Community
- Introduction of Educators Thriving professional development courses for St. Johns County teachers
- Expansion of INK!’s PIVOT program transforming the lives of at-risk youth with tutoring and resiliency coaching
- Completion of St. Johns County Comprehensive Needs Assessment to better understand the health and resiliency needs of our community
- Countywide screening tour and panel discussion of My Ascension, suicide prevention and awareness
- Equine therapy training and team building retreat for St. Johns County School District Mental Health Counselors
- Support for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) training for teachers and “Tickets for Success” new teacher training
