INK! (Investing in Kids) will host the Community Appreciation for School Employees (C.A.S.E.) event on Saturday, June 11 from 4 pm until 8 pm for all St. Johns School District teachers, staff and their families. Festivities will be held at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds, 5840 FL-207 E. in Elkton, Fla. The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with INK! to assist with traffic. The lead volunteer organization and volunteer coordination will be provided by the Rotary Club of St. Augustine Sunset, and additional contributions from donors, partners, and the community.
According to Donna Lueders, INK! Executive Director, to help fund the family-friendly day of activities, INK! is hosting the Vegas Escape 2022 Raffle Fundraiser with a random online drawing on Thursday, March 31 at 12:30 pm. Any adult may enter the raffle for an opportunity to win a week at The Grandview at Las Vegas, NV, an RCI Gold Crown Resort located close to the Vegas Strip. From Saturday, April 23 until Saturday, April 30, the winner will receive accommodations to include a two-bedroom condominium with two master suites, and access to the resort’s five heated pools, water features, a fitness center, and more. Airfare or travel is not included. Notably, during this time, the 87th annual NFL Draft will be held in Las Vegas from Thursday, April 28 until Saturday, April 30 for added entertainment.
Raffle entries must be received by 11:59 am on March 31 with the winner to be announced at 12:35 pm via INK!’s Facebook Live announcement and notified by email. Cost per ticket is $100, and two or more tickets are $75.00 each.

“A family-friendly picnic and fun-filled day of activities for all St. Johns County School District employees and their immediate families is being held for our local heroes in education. They can enjoy the free activities in appreciation of their dedication and resilience throughout the last two years and for their continued efforts educating St. Johns County students,” said Lueders. “The event is open to all St. Johns County school employees from the maintenance teams to the instructional teams and school administrators at the 45 public schools in our District, plus administration and support staff.” Lueders added there are close to 6,000 employees who are invited to the June 11 festivities.
Activities will include a Kid’s Zone with special guests Captain William Mayhem and his Pirate Crew and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office mounted patrol, games, disc golf, a mobile escape room and mobile game truck, refreshments, and live music from 4 pm until 8 pm. INK! welcomes additional support with financial and in-kind sponsorships and community partnerships available.
