A Night of Connection, Conversation & Commitment to Public Education
On Thursday, September 18, INK! hosted our inaugural Education Matters community dinner at Asado Life, and what a beautiful evening it was. Against the backdrop of waterfront dining and masterful outdoor grilling, we gathered with educators, community and business leaders, and public-education champions for an inspiring night of partnership and purpose.
Here are a few highlights and moments we are still buzzing about:
-
A stunning, serene waterfront setting at Asado Life that set the tone for thoughtful discussion and community connection.
-
A powerful address from our new Superintendent, Dr. Brennan Asplen, who shared his vision for the future of St. Johns County schools and invited community collaboration to uplift teachers and students.
-
Opportunities for guests to engage in open dialogue about challenges, needs, and innovative ways to support public education in St. Johns County.
-
A delicious, locally inspired meal that reminded us how nourishment and community belong together.
-
A unified sense of mission: this dinner was more than a gathering — it was a reaffirmation of why we do what we do. When community, educators, parents, and community partners come together, we create momentum to support every student and teacher’s success.
